Take the example of the recently LHBfied 13307/8. On it's first few runs it was reported that, passengers at some smaller stations were apprehensive at first , to get on the train because they mistaken it for a Rajdhani.
Taking that into mind, the railways allegedly had to arrange an announcement system, commentating that the Rajdhani-like train is infact their daily super-crawler Ganga-Satluj....

problems were also faced at PNBE, forget small stations even passengers in stations like Patna Jn faced problems when Sampoorna Kranti was lhbfied....
With the help of this two examples, I am trying to re-enforce the point the point that rake differentiation with the help of different colours is a necessity, not a wastage of time.
For railway enthusiasts like ourselves it is very easy to spot and identify a train. But 99.99 % of people are not like us. Add to that the fact that illiteracy is still rampant, segregation of different classes of train with different livery is a much needed step Brandon !
