My dear Moderator,
I have been pointing several corrections. It may please not be taken as a fault finding exercise. I just want and it is my intention that all users of this website find it most useful and user friendly website.
In my humble opinion, while providing link to catch a train from a nearby connecting station, we should ensure that the home station and the connecting station has a direct rail link. If we suggest a connecting station at say 30 kms, while a direct rail link connecting station is
...
available at 25-35 kms, we must recommend the direct link station only.
I’ll try to explain:-
Passengers from KKP Kotkapura are advised to catch
1SHB Bhatinda Shri Ganganagar Passenger from GDB Gidderbaha,
3SHB Bhatinda Shri Ganganagar Passenger from BHX Balluana
2SHB Shri Ganganagar Bhatinda Passenger from BTI Bathinda
4SHB Shri Ganganagar Bhatinda Passenger from BTI Bathinda
All the four trains run on same track and has same stoppages. While BTI Bathinda has direct link with KKP Kotkapura at 30 Kms, neither GDB Gidderbaha nor BHX Balluana has any rail link with KKP Kotkapura. It is extremely difficult for passengers to go to Gidderbaha or Balluana and to catch train at these small stations, especially with luggage and / or children. Coollies are also not available at small stations.
This way, it is much better to catch a train from BTI Bathinda. It is desirable that the link may please be modified accordingly.
Thanks and regards.
