IR is looking towards the future in terms of Freight Corridors & ICF etc all going for LHB Coaches in coming years only ... WAP-8 is a nice idea, like a Light Yellow(Peach) Colord Loco with a Single Navy Blue Stripe[Capable of an MPS of 210 Kmph] :-)
the Design of WAP-8 might lil diff as compared to his elder brothers WAP-5/7.
MPS of 210kph in maybe after 5-10years as most of the tracks need to upgraded.
M expecting the WAP-8 to 6000-8000Hp with Dual AC cab, ACD - VCD attached. should b able to haul any Rajdhani/Shatabdi or even a 24 coach train (express coach design is concern) at MPS of 130-160kph.

why not? if demand increases , it is possible. wap-7 can easily do 24 icf coaches at 130.and lhbs are lighter, so itll be a piece of cake for a wap-7. in fact, hwh raj has been spotted with 21 coaches many times in peak season.so only 3 more required.
What is the lenghth of 24-coacher LHB rajdhani and 24-coacher ICF rajdhani rake?
WAP 7 is there. The max speed of WAP 7 is 170kmph. So its possible.
