The connectivity between industrial cities of South bengal and cities of North bengal like Maldah, Siliguri, etc has been worst since ages. Only a handful of weekly trains ply between these cities and are given a remote quota of few seats only. Local MP amd MLAs also have demanded for a dedicated train from this region to north bengal.
So ER and NFR should think of starting a train with a TT like this to facilitate the commuters between North bengal and South bengal. Also, other than Asansol, Durgapur, Raniganj, Siuri, Pandabeshwar, Dubrajpur, etc, this train will also benefit the people of nearby areas like Adra, Chittaranjan, Purulia, Bankura, Raghunathpur, Jamuria, etc.
