If your train is bound for NZM or NDLS & it has unscheduled/scheduled halt at OKA. Then you can take metro from Okhla NSIC metro station of Magenta Line metro to reach following locations. It will save your time as well as money -
1. For West Delhi & IGI Airport Terminal-1 => Take direct magenta line metro, fare would be around ₹40 for airport. Shuttle buses are also available to reach other terminals for ₹30. For dwarka, you can deboard at Palam or change metro to Blue Line at Janakpuri West.

Yours is a good idea. Atleast for youngsters and those young at heart. Though 600 metres (maybe a steep FOB climb) maybe a little difficult for some senior citizens with 15kg weighing luggage. Also may not be suitable for families with kids/babies in arms
If you look at DLI you have to walk almost half a kilometer to reach chandni chowk metro station still people takes metro & all metro stations are disable-friendly. Well mostly senior citizens & families prefer cabs or autos to reach their destination from railway station. They don't take metro. In those cases it's better to deboard at NZM or NDLS.
Do not Deboard this station early by 05:00 or late after 19:00 as this station will be deserted and there could be case of robbery and run away.
I have no problems with what you say, however you should, I think, mention the point of senior citizens and families, just as you have mentioned about luggage.
