As per SWR targets they need to commission Minchinal Bijapur Wandal stretch within Feb 2019 which can be seen as per pace of their speed here and even I saw some trucks loaded with rail tracks standing at Gadag outer towards Bijapur side but I am not sure those tracks are for Gadag Hotgi doubling or for Gadag Hubli doubling.And also new ROB is under construction at Hombal gate where Gadag Bijapur line bifurcates from Gadag Hubli Line.
It's not only from NTPC funding but also from Pressure and tracking from NTPC on Ministry of railways to complete this doubling as soon as possible.
Yes.. as I stated earlier Hotgi - Gadag line will be doubled before Bhigwan - Solapur - Gulbarga even though doubling of Bhigwan - Gulbarga started 10 years before.
Hospet Vasco doubling also same situation like Bhigwan Gulbarga doubling as both are being done by RVNL but hotgi gadag doubling is being done by SWR construction wing.
The main delay will be if rail tracks not available but i saw they loading rail tracks also well in advance for this hotgi gadag doubling. I think that they may start track laying from Gadag jn side also towards bijapur as i found rail tracks kept at gadag outer so if they start doubling from gadag side then sure this section will be doubled soon.Krishna bridge near almatti got 18 pillars ready and remaining under construction..
