Congrats to SWR for its magnanimous transfer of one Rake to SR to delink the Rake Sharing Arrangement with Bangalore <>Kanniyakumari Island expresses.
Now linked with the Thoothukkudi Pearl city expresses Rake Sharing Arrangement. Instead of speeding up the Island expresses, SR arranged with Peral city expresses for Thoothukkudi. So in the near future no more new daily expresses are possible in Thoothukkudi Major Harbour City.
Thoothukkudi needs daily expresses to Mangalore via Shenkottai, Daily expresses to Chennai Central via Namakkal and Biweekly to New Delhi and Howrah...

One of the rakes came from LHBfication of 16315/16. Rake went to MS via MDU as Special fare special on 29.07.2018.
