and the United Nations has declared July 30 to be the international Friendship Day. However, various countries including India celebrate the beautiful bond of friendship on the first Sunday of August every year. While the main reason behind this is that Sundays are far more convenient to meet up n enjoy a day out with friends, the practice of celebrating the first august Sunday as Friendship Day came from the United States.
