19107/08 - Janmabhoomi Express runs from Ahmedabad to Udhampur. It used to run with normal ICF (Integral Coach Factory) coaches.
But on 15th July 2018, Western Railways decided to upgrade its rake with new modern LHB ( LInke Hofmann Busch) coaches .The LHB coaches were first imported from Germany and later with the transfer of technology concept they started to be manufactured in India at MCF(MOdern Coach Factory - Raibareilly), ICF (Integral Coach Factory - Chennai) and RCF( Rail Coach Factory - Kapurthala).
THese coaches are light weight , made of stainless steel, have better ride quality, are longer, more durable and are very safe as comapred to ICF coaches. They can accomodate more passengers per coach and are costlier then ICF coaches. They can travel at higher speeds and are powered by EOG (End On Generation - Generator Cars). They also feature axle mounted dual disc brakes and CBC coupling (Centre Buffer Coupling ).
