Either Suburban trains or Metro, will not make any difference unless the last mile connectivity is good. Moreover, traffic in Metros like Bengaluru will be a never answerable question. These cities are potential job providers. As the city gets cleared day by day with BMTC City Buses, Metro Rail and Suburban Trains, it attracts more people. It is a scenario where there is a lake, being emptied from the bottom. The streams get more place to fill the water into the lake. Thus, at every point of time, the lake and the streams will be full, even though the water flows out some other way!!
The only way is to divert the streams to other lakes like Hubballi - Dharwad, Mangaluru, Ballari,...
