Board train on 02/09/2018 with wife and 3 years daughter. Received bedroll on berth. Sharp 4.50 train depart from sealdah. Got seat no 71,72. The 72 berth is cold to sleep as ac vent on top of head.
Interior review
On 1st view interior is very good and clean. My berth 72 is very cold and ac vent...
more... is in top on berth 72 and 70. So if you are getting seat no 70 or 72 be prepare to freeze. Toilets are specious and very clean. I found rubber padding dislocation on berth 72. Side bag of berth not properly tighten. I found open nut bolt which is very dangerous. Cleaning department worked very well.
Food review
No welcome drink provided on train. Evening snakes will be sonpapdi, samosa( microwave hot), tea etc. The coffee pouch provided by catering is awful. If you like coffee bring your own coffee pouch. In dinner there will be no soup. Menu is rice, Roti, dal, chicken/paneer( Chicken is better) curry, curd, vegetables. Steel spoon will be there. Food is not enough to fill my stomach. All above food are from Sealdah base kitchen. Morning tea provided s usual. On breakfast both veg and nonveg taste good and fresh. I didn’t found base kitchen name on breakfast. They provide juice is you return tea on breakfast. Breakfast is also not sufficient to fill up my stomach. You should carry some dry food to fulfil your stomach.
Running review
There is no complain of running time. It depart from Kanpur 10min late and reach New Delhi 15 min early.
Overall Sealdah Rajdhani is good way to travel if you had extra food.
Please noted that sl and su berth are small from lower,middle and upper berth in respect of both width and leanth.
