"Need levelling up for LHBfication", said DRM KGP. Combined with ADRA and CKP, we have received more than 140+ complaints regarding inconvenience while travelling in 12827/28 and 22891/92. I have personally inspected few coaches. We had been trying to curve out a solution where we can get new coaches for the train. A LHB rake which was sanctioned will replace the original 12827/28 service.
The striking point is rake sharing. During the time of sanction, there was no RSA so SRC was supposed to get primary authority of the said rake. Now it is being handled by Hatia co-persons. Hatia is not willing to LHBfy 22892/91 because it has not crossed it's due date. That's one way a strong point. However,

that will render an ICF LHB mix in the RSA which won't suit passenger convenience either. On our request, they have signed up Ranchi Intercity for Swarnim Project. We hope this may work out. Pantry services in Purulia Express is in our plans, which will be our 2nd intercity express train to have. Regular meetings with IRCTC under ADRA and KGP is going on. Once finalized, passengers will receive fresh food onboard. This is will generate employment for many.
Another resisting point is complaints in new LHB general coaches of Steel Express. This time ADRM was on inspection. He didn't find much out of order other than extra congestion being faced by everyone. Seats are comfortable. But he said,"If you want to go to toilet, keep 20 mins in hand". Pantry staffs are too finding difficulties. Talking about extension, we don't find extension of Steel Express feasible as of now. I discussed with DRM CKP and our views were very similar.

Sir i agree with u see my post i haven't said that ECR, SECR sends all its coaches to KGP Workshop. I have said that SECR, ECR, also sends SOME of its coaches to Kgp workshop....
ECR Has huge qty of coaches sends all its lhb coaches to liluah workshop, sends icf coaches to liluah, and some to kgp workshop also. If i am not wrong u will find 1 no. ECR 2S coach attached in HWH-PURULIA Exp also do watch the rake of hwh-prr exp tomorrow.

Yes
Recently 1 no of 9 coach old EMU rake got transferred to SER KGP DIV from ER SDAH DIV.It was taken to KGP workshop for POH and repainting. It took huge amount of time to repaint full rake including removal of all ER marking inside and outside coaches. So yes load of Emu, memu rakes poh is enough on kgp workshop

CC mein jo pantry ka space rehta hain waha par khana garam ya thanda rahega. Koi extra pantry car nehi lagega. UR wale bhi purchase kar payenge agar pantry wale udhar tak ja paye toh ya phir wo log aa paye tab.
