nitishkumar~ 19481 blog postsNitish, contrary to the general impression prevailing among many members as well as some admins here, INTERCITY EXPRESS does not imply a day-time train. It can also be an OVERNIGHT TRAIN. The term INTERCITY refers to what it implies, a train connecting 2 cities and nothing more than that. It was new nomenclature adopted by IR as way back as in the late 70s. Of course it does not really signify anything out of the ordinary as almost all M/E trains are INTERCITY by nature.
