Hi friends,I thought of starting a series of information which may be helpful to people visiting Tirumala-Tirupati for hassle free darshan and travel.
Senior Citizens darshan

Today I am sharing information regarding senior citizens darshan at Tirumala.
Senior citizens of age 65 years and above can have quick darshan(in about 20-30 mins) through a separate q line. Please note that only people of age 65 and above are only categorised as senior citizens at Tirumala.
* There are 2 time slots available under this scheme one at 10.00 hrs and another at 15.00 hrs, however the 10.00 hrs slot may be cancelled when there is big rush.
* To avail this facility pilgrims need to register in advance and obtain tickets by producing their vaild ID proof(preferably Aadhar card).Tickets are issued at counters located near the SV Museum from 7.00 am onwards. But please note that people will start queing up well before this time so make sure you reach atleast by 6-6.30.The ID number will be captured in the system and pilgrims can avail another darshan only after 6 months using the same ID.
* Wife of the pilgrim can also avail this facility, even if she is below 65 years of age but the husband should be 65 years or above.
* Handicapped persons are also allowed in this queue.
* Pilgrims who have got the ticket need to assemble at a gallery near Supatham 15 minutes before the mentioned time slot and can have darshan in quick time. All other darshans will be stopped during this time so pilgrims can have easy darshan without any push-pull.
* Though the darshan is free of cost you need to pay for laddus.2 laddus can be availed at payment of Rs.20/- and 4 laddus can be availed at payment of Rs.70/- The payment for laddu is to be done while taking the tickets.
Hope this is helpful. Will share more details about Tirumala in coming days..
To be continued..

2 laddus for Rs 20 then why Rs 70 for 4 laddus ? people can take 4 laddus paying 20 rs seperately na two times in one darshan itself? or is their limit to buy laddu by one person at one time in entire darshan?

The cost of one laddu is actually Rs.25/-..But every pilgrim is provided 2 laddus at a subsidised rate of Rs.10/- as it is the Maha Prasadam of Lord Venkateshwara..In one ticket for senior citizen you are eligible for maximum 4 laddus..If choose to have only 2 laddus you get them at subsidised rate hence you pay Rs.20/- and if you choose to have 4 laddus then you pay subsidised rate for 2 laddus and normal rate for other 2 hence 20+50=Rs.70/-
