I want to ask one question that in olden days i.e in mahabharata and ramayana period since there was no train and flight and other transportation medium ,how people use to go from one state to another state and how much time it used to take?

i think they have to take too many halts in between as horse could bot run continously for 100 km. the average speed of supper fast horse with chariot would be 40km/hr
