HWH-ASR Mail goes from BNS to LKO via Bhadohi-Jhangai Jn-Pratapgarh. Do trains like Punjab Exp and Akal Takht Exp also go via Bhadohi-Jhangai Jn-Jaunpur City ?? Please correct me if I am wrong and I also have no idea about the exact status at present of track doubling and electrification status of these routes. By my knowledge , there are 3 routes to go from BNS to LKO which are via Rae-Barelli , via Sultanpur and via Faizabad.

Akal Takht, HWH ASR, AR-KOAA BIWEEKLY etc enroutes SLN.
LKO-SLN-BSB doubling work has been shelved mid-way & electrification is going on.
Doubling -
LKO-Trivediganj (Near Haidergarh)
Jaunpur-Shri Krishna Nagar.

Dear Mr. Vinay,
Thanks for giving my blog a patient hearing. But i can't understand one thing that how can IR(precisly CORE) move along with electrification plans of a route without completing the doubling of it's track as in case of BSB-SLN-LKO Section. Will that mean , trains like Punjab Exp and Akal Takht Exp will be hauled by electric locos(WAP-4/5/7 even WAM-4) on single tracks ?? HA HA HA HA .

Yeah!!!
Electric train on single track!!!
But i do believe, electric loco would run after 3 years (due to pace of work) & mayb after pole erection & wire induction, the laymen would be utiized in doubling work!!!
BSB-LKO can be covered sometmes in 4.5 hrs & sometime same train would take 7 hrs!!!

Dear Mr. Vinay,
As you said that even goods trains are made to run from BSB to LKO via SLN ( which is atleast 45% doubled ) , but let me tell you that goods trains are also made to run via Rae-Barelli-Amethi Route also which is 90% single track (as BSB-Badohi-Jhangai Jn section is doubled recently according to recent Rail Budget). Sometime back when I was travelling by ASR-HWH Punjab Mail then my train was made to stand on the side line of Jais station to let a Container Train pass through the main line . Pathetic to see that even a "Rajdhani" Train like GHY-NDLS Rajdhani Exp has to travel through the incomplete double track route of BSB-LKO via SLN
