Please refer to the image attached . According to debroy committee report couple of years ago per trip loss incurred was 6lacs approx. Assuming 365 day service yearly loss comes out to be rs23 cr. While if we analyse the above data for 12424 the increase in revenue for 12424 in one year comes out be more than 28 cr. Now assuming in these years(upto 2017-18) even if the operational cost for 12424 would hv risen by 5 crores, which I personally don't think so, then also no profit no loss situation will be there ... Further in coming years after electrification there will obviously be a decrement in operational cost while the revenue generated would probably be higher seeing the trend which eventually will result in per trip profit also.. I believe if in the present situation any report like debroy report comes the scenario would surely...
