Every year, in the Hindu months of Ashadh(June-July), about 350,000 devotees walk all the way from Dehu and Alandi to the holy town of Pandharpur. The devotees known as "Warkaris", perform collective singing, dancing on way during their 22 day march called Waari. A parallel action of Kolhapur bound Koyana express and the Warkaris can be seen here, with both heading towards Pune.
