Why ? Ctc-tata via sukinda line is free tata-kcg SPL follow this route ? No need of via ngp route
Remember even if these two trains runs separately, you cannot change their routes between TATA-ROU and DHN-ROU as you cannot remove a train from the intermediate stations between them. So if any one among these is to be rerouted it has to be between ROU and ALLP and one will follow this same route again because of the same reason. In that case we have only option to go via G/NGP, and any one may be extended to Trivandrum/Kochuveli.
The Tata-Allp can be easily diverted via Chaibasa...the same route taken by Tata-VSKP weekly. Only one major station will be affected which is CKP. From Rou onwards DHN-Allp will in any case continue till Allp.
Few years ago remember one ac coach attendant saying that there was a proposal to separate both : DHN-Allp will continue as it is with more coches added and Tata-Allp will be extended till KCVL/TVC with route being either via KGP or else same route of Tata-VSKP. The biggest issue that time is absence of washing lines in Tata and also availability of rakes

I too heard from an AC Coach attndt. some 4-5 yrs back, that both will run separately and one of them most probably TATA one will run upto Kochuveli, route was not mentioned by him.
