IRCTC has deducted extra money(in excess to the Rs. 20/- that is charged for e-ticket) from my account after I booked online tickets today. What should I do?

No IRCTC won't charge extra. Normally Banks deduct service charge for booking ticket through IRCTC.
its wl...then rs.20...plus irctc charge of rs.10/tkt for sleepr,2s and rs.20/tkt for all other classes...plus bank charges if any are non refundable...
if confirm,and cancelled more than 24hrs in advance,its rs.40/pax in sleeper,rs.60/pax in 3a,2a,cc...later,time constrains come into play...can you share your ticket details...for better info...

those charges must be deducted by the bank. On Credit Cards 1.8% Transaction Charges are levied. On Debit cards/Net Banking it varies. (Normally Rs. 10 or 20 per ticket). IDBI Bank till now do not charge anything.
