A trip yesterday by my friend. On Friday he informed me that he had taken WL in 12323 for Cnb-Anvt hoping to reach Anvt at 5 pm. (Me to myself: What an idiot). I advised him to take WL in 12877 (AC) or 12379 Sleeper. Still as a good friend I told him that this train will be late. But he said koi na metro mil jayega. I said mat maano. So he called me in morning 6 am (ruin my sleep) to tell me train was running right time (departed Ddu). I told him to wait and watch. As expected 12323 and dear NCR both showed its true colors. 9am pe phir call aya to tell me it is at Ald delayed by 1.15 hours. (Still acceptable). Then real fun began. Cnb at 1.45 pm and departed 2pm. I told him that it should take 8 hours. The train really started struggling covered Cnb-Etw in 3.5 hours and I knew this train was destined to doom. Tundla took another 1.5 hours crossed at 7pm. The train covered Aligarh in 1.15 hours. Then started the slug run. Shatabdi overtook it and train finally reached Anvt at 11.35 pm (NTES told 11.15 pm). Then winter season no metro or bus to Gurgaon from Anvt. With Cab fares at 600 and Auto at Rs 450 there was little doubt to take Auto wo bhi mila at 12.10am and reached Ggn at 1.30am. So ek poora AC ka fare dekar 9hr train and 2 hr auto. And for factcheck the train as usual is not safe for travel.
