it's one of the long distance trains.may be few of the rakes are like that.
the rakes are quite poor... infact most TVM and PGT division trains have poor caoches..
the old rakes are sent to main repairs and the old coaches are sent back by them and the coaches after POH will be running in MAS Route and only 8% of the coaches has returned back. PGT and TVC cannot say anything since everything is in the hands of SR. Said to me by the Chief Mechanical Engineer ( Coach Depot TVC)
One rake of Kerala is running with 98 to 2000 made coaches.
Compartments are rusty and coach condition is so bad...

the only train to Kerala owned by SR that has good or decent coaches is TVM Mail as the maintenance is housed at MAS...
