एनईआर...
इंजन को छोड़कर लखनऊ मेल की लम्बाई 576 मीटर है, जबकि प्लेटफॉर्म-1 और 2 दोनों 700 मीटर लम्बे हैं। प्लेटफॉर्म-2 पर इंजन बदलने के लिए डायमंड कट स्टेशन की तरफ बना है। इस कारण ट्रेन इस कट से आगे खड़ी करनी पड़ती थी। ऐसे में इसके आगे के दो-तीन कोच प्लेटफॉर्म के बाहर चले जाते थे। इसके उलट प्लेटफॉर्म-1 का डायमंड कट आउटर की तरफ है। ऐसे में ट्रेन के सभी कोच प्लेटफॉर्म-1 पर ही लगेंगे।
NER officers took so many days & multiple changes in the departure PFs for 12229/12230 just to understand that LJN PF#1 is the only suitable PF for operating LKO mail...Why the shorter length of PF # 6 and then Loco change problem at PF #2 could not be realized earlier, is really shocking !!
