Actually there's no major industries etc... Just small towns to be connected.
One they ask SMET to direct HRR, other will ask via Shikaripura their constituency. And now they are asking Siddapura - Sirsi - Haveri.
Nothing concrete has yet started.
All routes just passenger light traffic. Not much freights.

Isn't freight traffic high to Bhadravathi- Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant ??
In gtl bay hpt even double line is not enough to handle the traffic.
The current tri-weekly ICE gets good patronage for GEN and also decent occupancy in Reserved coaches.
