maybe you are right. but seems difficult to bliv as i always felt via cuttack was a longer route. and that route was single line (dont know what its now). it wastes a lot time. till a few years back it was also not electrified and hence all trains used to run KGP to VSKP in diesel. though the entire stretch was electrified except the cuttack diversion
