This year I didn't travel much by train. Just short distances.
Around 4000 Kms.
YPR - BZA - YPR a couple of times, YPR - DWR, BAY - GDG, BAY - KRYP, GDG - SUR, SUR - GDG, YPR - ASK, MWM - TK few times, SBC - CMY/SVS few times, YPR - KCG, KUD - YPR.

was bus of which I am a big fan. Especially the no frills - Express type which Karnataka has the best and the most comfortable. Seated right across the driver and watching the overtakes all night and day long.
Going to new stations is just another excuse for me to travel in buses :)
Around 14000 Kms KSRTC, NWKRTC, NEKRTC, APSRTC, TSRTC all put together.
Attached a pic of my favorite mode of my favorite Govt. bus.

Waterways : Just crossed River Kaveri by Coracle to the other side of the forest and returned back. Fun trip.
