I remember reading in the newspapers regarding demand of a train to BE from JBP
Maybe LKO was required for patronage. Anyways, not many trains between JBP and LKO for now, so running via LKO must be fine.
IR ne route to sahi choose kiya, but slot ka I can't say much. Waise bhi LKO se koi overnight train nahin HW k liye, to JBP-LKO day run and LKO-HW overnight shayad better hota.
Anyways, CNB k to dono side bahut gande timings hain.
