1. I don't know why but this SBC - MYS electrification updates and related queries on Y TSS and other issues related to electrification has brought out the worst in some members.
2. Instead of sharing info - the basic purpose of IRI community - new IDs are created bombarding everyone with incessant questions.
There was a blog /blog/post/2294022 where one ID was eating everyone's head about S track linking and Y TSS on a daily basis.

Now you have come along questioning me about transmission loss.
I read and I shared the info with that member. You come along and the first blog that you type after creating your ID in 2016, is demanding an answer and the link to what I said.
This is not some official forum or interrogation chamber to demand answers.....
4. I searched all this while and gave a link above.
5. Moderator talks about curtailing your type of IDs, seriously I wish he takes up the concern.

Substation at Y is indeed not ready. Earlier last year when FEDL was just complete, few trains mentioned above used to run w/ e-link. But since recently Chamundi, Rajya Rani was changed to e-loco and now SBC-MYS MEMU are running, transmission losses will only be higher. So there are 3 options w/ SWR as of now:
1. Keep running Chamundi + Rajya Rani w/ e links, and bear extra transmission losses
2. Pressurise KPTCL to complete work ASAP.

So far for me, 3rd option seems more possible in future.

2. This looks like a complicated issue. The land acquisition is not an easy one for this.
Some issues have been reported here:

said the issue of compensating farmers for land acquisition is always mired in litigation. In case of compensation for laying power transmission lines, the authorities follow the provisions of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885. Computing the compensation amount is dicey as a portion of the land can still be used for agriculture purposes.
However, there are restrictions on usage of land underneath the line and the tower base area (between the four legs of the pylon or the tower structure) and thus there is a diminution of the land value. This has to be computed by the Revenue Department to the satisfaction of the affected farmers but the process has been a non-starter as of now. So, the wait for suburban electric trains on the Mysuru-Bengaluru section will be indefinite."
3. After 8 PM, 3 trains will draw power. This, Chamundi and Kaveri. So yes, if it is causing too much loss, then they may re-think some links.
