It's very sad and disappointing. SBC - MUMBAI route has so much high traffic and railways is always neglecting. The bus mafia still enjoys customer privilege over railways. Not a single train is super fast on this route. Even I won't say Dadar Chennai superfast to be a superfast actually. Hope after doubling and electrification gets completed Mumbai Bangalore may get a dedicated super fast train.

Avg. speed is the same, but Chalukya is slightly faster than Udyan (if you consider speed until KYN).. so both take almost same time, though Chalukya covers extra ~70km distance.
Between SBC & DR, Chalukya is faster than Udyan by almost 30 min. Furthermore, I feel Chalukya has better punctuality reputation compared to Udyan, thanks to slack it has throughout the route.

Chalukya is more reputed that Udyan and Kurla in terms of end to end patronage, punctuality etc.
