This train was named after Siddhaganga Mutt near Tumakuru (nearest station is KIAT). The mutt was headed by Siddhaganga Shivakumara Swamiji popularly known as "Walking God". He provided free education, shelter and food for thousands of children over many decades. Today he passed away at the age of 111.

No halt in between for the special DEMUs. There should have been halt at KIAT for people to get down and go to the mutt. You think they will give halt or people will get local buses from TK back to KIAT?
They will give halt at KIAT if not given unofficially.
I think even express trains on the route will also halt unofficially because of the rush.

I expected VM too to halt as it has loads of slack in YPR-TK-ASK & return stretch. Anyway good decision by SWR.
Lot of buses are being run too from Bengaluru and other cities.
