Recruitment for one lakh, 51 thousand and 548 posts is going on. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said, 10 per cent of these vacancies will be filled in from Economically Weaker Sections. He said the current reservation to SC/ST, OBC and the Differently abled will continue in the Railway as usual.
