Panipat is a industrial city. Panipat railway station is a model station more than 40,000 people travel daily here the Delhi-Kalka, Panipat-Jind, Panipat-Rohtak line is available but there is a shortage of trains. On the side of Jammu, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Delhi the stoppage of up-down 38 trains is not available in Panipat. 2,200 crore budget of Panipat Meerut Rail Line has been approved but the work has not started yet. Few trains are available on Jind and Nothing any train are availble on Narwana and Jakhal. The station requires new platforms, escalators, ticket counters, food stores and other modern facilities.
