800 km daudke same day pe return journey krna next to impossible Hai. Agar man bhi le bhahut fast train hoga to max 10 hrs mein yeh distance cover hoga mtlb min dekha Jaye toh 21 hrs ka time consume hoga total journey mein out of 24 hrs a day. Ab baki 3 hrs mein kab yard jayega kab maintenance hoga ?
instead of Shatabdi and high end trains as Nagpur is in mid section of HWH MUm sector a tri weekly SF exp can be run in the slot of HWH Pune HS with 16.5 hrs this will be convenient from BSP until NGP and return leave between 1400 to 1600 to reach HWH or any terminal before 800. As they dont have good train connnection and the trains passing will not have Quota will be good occupancy. Coaches can be incresed from 18 to 24 based on occupancy. Regarding ROU instead of Shatabdi or Tejas an intercity or janshatabdi with Dep at 545 Tata at 815 HWH at 1215 and return 1515 2145 ROU will be good unlike Asansol Dhanbad ROU and Tata doesnt have a road connection so this train can be run with 4ACC and 10 NON AC chair cars. HWH-SBP- KORAPUT Exp bifurcation not possible.
HWH-CKP PGR can be extended till Rourkella....... but platform and pitlines limitations are there in ROU..... parking of rake at Rourkella is a problem now....... New platform Construction in Rourkella going on, so maybe after completing new platform at ROU extension can be done.
But yes i agree with you a dedicated intercity train from SRC to ROU is needed with daytime travel....

For Intercity type train I belief HWH is better than SRC. SRC is not better but OK for long distance trains where hardly the same people travels 2-3 times a year, whereas intercity type trains will have daily passengers and weekend travelers mostly, HWH will be better for them.
HWH is overcrowded, no new trains of SER will be given to HWH stn. Terminal. Only ER new trains can be given. All new SER trains will be given to SRC or SHM Terminal only. Even few SER trains will be shifted to SRC/ SHM Terminal from HWH station in future.
