Considering all sort of services being made available for travel between Mumbai n Goa for night riders, I devised this Train Runnibg pattern :
Dep Time:
21:10 : MAJN SF
22:20 hrs Triweekly Antyodaya between CSMT KAWR halting at Dadar, Thane, Diva, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Rd, Ratnagiri, Rajapur, Kankavli, Kudal, Sawantwadi, Pernem, Thivim, Madgaon and Cancona

23:55: DD Ex LTT on Fridays to arrive VSG at 10:30 hrs nxt day

12134 (Due to shift in run timings of 12133 this will run on time) MAO dep : 18:40
19:05 hrs : KK
Return Antyodaya will depart Karwar at 18:40 hrs, MAO at 19:50 hrs to arrive Mumbai CSMT at 07:00 hrs nxt day (OT by Matsya in CR) (DD will run on this slot ex MAO on Sundays)
20:40/50 Matsyagandha ex MAO

Giving Goa's SWR line to KR wont help as other than VSG Patna Express no other train changes from SWR to KR...
All other trains go to Londa Jn and continue on SWR's Karnataka network. So KR might actually have issues on that.
Giving Goa and Karnataka section of KR to SWR as some K'taka politicos demand will be a disaster.

Actually there are lot many things that can be done of VSG QLM section of SWR is added to KR. For eg:
KR gets a new terminus viz VSG which can be optimally used to ease congestion at MAO
Now lets say KR lays a 1 km long connector line between CSM n VEN, then immediately

LTT KRMI AC Express gets extended from KRMI to VSG. A connection to South Goa is established.
Buses take you directly to VSG stn than at KRMI. Patronage improves. This is apart from our demand of Extension of Double Decker to Vasco.
Even 12741/42 PNBE VSG will use this MAO bypass by halting at VEN.
Also in the existing arrangement till connector line is laid: MAQ MAO intercity will get extened to Vasco.
U mi8 know KA population in VSG. Patronage of ICE rises significantly. Today around half a dozen KSRTC buses ply from Vasco to Karwar alone.
Also QLM passenger train rake will be replaced by DMU coaches a.s.a.p.
The funds from Mormugao Port will be used extensively for development inside state by KR which sadly is ised by SWR for development outside the state. They want only revenues from Mormugao Port by running freights...

After so much of pressure they are running weekly VSG TPTY n VSG HYB using link exp that too on slot sharing arrangement.
Since I was in Vasco for 3 years, I spoke to Taxi Unions and passengers alike who say that post Guage Conversion no of trains reduced considerably n it has impact on their earning too.

Maybe you are not aware but KR was planning to build a new terminus in Nessai village just 5 KMs ahead of MAO towards KAWR.
I am not sure of the progress...

What you are saying is 100% correct but they haven't extended Tejas to MAO as that will delay the return train.
If the state govt cares about it then they should run KTCL buses to and fro KRMI to Panjim bus stand. but they don't bcoz of the Taxi Mafia. Why blame the railways when state govt doesn't care? Last mile connectivity should be looked into by the local govt.

Just in case you weren't aware VEN is Goa's Most isolated station... Atleast you will get a bus if you walk around a 1KM away from KRMI but you wont even find any form of public transport around VEN. That place is mostly a Goods yard than a passenger station...

This was common sense!
Why wasn't the train extended to VSG from the start?
I suspect lack of co-ordination between KR and SWR.

Why can't this be done by SWR right now? Don't they have the required powers to ask for a DEMU rake?

These taxi drivers should have been transferred to the airport taxi stand by the govt.

Any ways the new terminus at Nessai village was planned to link the SWR also... I am not sure if this plan was approved...
But if that happens than the number of trains to VSG will reduce further maybe.
