Budget For Mumbai Train: The cabinet has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 54 thousand crores for the Mumbai Railways, which is considered as the Lifeline of Mumbai. This fund will be used to change the face of the Mumbai Railway. The Railway Ministry had proposed Rs 54,777 crore for the extension and modernization of railway routes under MUTP Phase 3A. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in a press conference. This expenditure will be shared by the Center and the State Government.
