Poorabiya Express: कोसी की शान से दिल्ली महान तक - Md Rashid Alam

I travelled by this train from Ghatshila to Dangoaposi on 18/03/2019. It had left Howrah that day 35 min late at 6:55 am. It arrived Ghatshila 1 hr late at around 10:15 am and so reached Dangoaposi around 1 hr late at around 01:05 pm. I noticed a new technique being practiced at Ghatshila by the Passengers in collaboration with the Ticket Reservation Counter. Since this train arrives at Ghatshila at 9:13 am and Ghatshila has no separate quota of seats and shares the quota of Kharagpur. Now Kharagpur has only 100 seats quota in 2S which gets depleted soon and goes into waiting list. So seats fail to be available after Kharagpur prepares it's 1st chart 1 day earlier at around 8:00 pm. Seats become available only when Howrah prepares its 2nd chart on the same day at around 5:50 am and releases the vacant seats. So seats become available...

for Kharagpur and Ghatshila in Current Reservation the same day from around 5:50 am to 7:30 am. But reservation counter of Ghatshila operates from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. So, it can never sell tickets for this train in Current Reservation. So, what it does is this. After the counter opens at 8:00 am, people having to travel from Ghatshila to Sini, Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Noamundi, Bara Jamda and Barbil are issued tickets to travel to those stations from Tatanagar and not from Ghatshila, as booking from Tatanagar is available upto 9:40 am. Hence people travelling in this train from Ghatshila to any station make payment from Tatanagar onwards and hence they travel from Ghatshila to Tatanagar free of cost. People travelling from Ghatshila to Tatanagar are asked to travel in this train without ticket by standing near the door of the coaches. Ticket checkers also do not come between, Ghatshila and Tatanagar. So, the passengers don't have any problem.
