Howrah town is unplanned & very old town 500 years. All the road are very narrow & zigzag. So traffic jam is famous in Howrah. Excess vehicles, Bus, Taxi hamper Howrah. Best road in Howrah G.T. Road is worst. The main responsible of this worst condition is increasing of Long distance train in Howrah. We should conserve Howrah by shifting some trains to another terminal.
It is a great problrm of Howrah since many years. For this reason tram service was withdrawn from Howrah bridge
Not only tram it is true that truck is also withdrawn from Rabindra Setu
