This train has 90% end to end occupancy in both the directions ..that’s why MDU division itself proposed for the diversion to decongest MDU VPT line..But at the same time RMM will lose one late night connectivity to MDU which serves as a perfect connecting train to catch TNSK from MDU for tourists and pilgrims from RMM..
Last week i was in madurai , a huge crowd waits for this train towards kannyakumari and nearly 100+ passenger got down in madurai.
That’s what I’m saying those crowd getting down at MDU from RMM are mostly using TNSK as a connecting train.. Even I’m not in favour of this diversion via APK..
