I don't think they will reduce halts of Tirupati - Hubballi - Tirupati Passenger after conversion into express as this is the only Passenger which halts at most of the stations from Guntakal to Tirupati (except 2 stations viz., Chintakunta & Tiruchanur). If halts are removed question will come regarding rural and urban connectivity. If halts are not removed then passengers ask why extra fare has to be paid when there are same halts after converting the train into express. But they have to speed up the train after converting it into express

I'm also thinking the same thing, there will be no changes in halts but TT and CC will be changed. They would have to increase the avg. speed, otherwise there is no point in converting it into Express. I think in this particular case along with SL and 3A (if any), 2S coaches should also be included in the CC other than the UR coaches.

The conversions should be done on a case by case basis depending upon the patronage of the train, route through which it is plying and expected problems of the conversion, if any and should not be generalised for all passengers running above 500 kms.

Some Halts will be eliminated sure ..but don't know how many ..it won't affect much within swr limits but it 'll affect gtl div stations however they is alternative gtl - tpty passengers train for them ..this is 2 years old proposal now it 'll be Hubballi - kakinada express..

TPTY - UBL Passenger skips Kudatini (KDN). Already this train is skipping many stations in SWR limits and BAY - GTL section. This train acts as Fast Passenger only in UBL - GTL section. But it halts at every station (except 2 stations mentioned above) in GTL - TPTY section. GTL - TPTY & KRYP - TPTY Passengers run in Guntakal - Khaderpet - Kalluru - Anantapur - Dharmavaram - Kadiri - Pakala - Chandragiri - Tirupati which is entirely different route compared to route of UBL - TPTY Passenger. Also there is no another Passenger train from Guntakal to Kadapa which stops at all stations. So I have doubt whether halts will be reduced or not. Anyhow let's wait and see what happens
