Can some one plz tell the progress of guage conversion work of GONDIA-JABALPUR route. This route will shorten jabalpur ballharshah distance by 300 km and will save the time by 6 hrs. Plz update

from the jabalpur side the mega block was supposed to be carried out from oct 2011, now it was postponed till oct 2012, after oct 2012 it may be postponed for another six months and so on.......... now one can calculated when the project will b completed..
People from this region are not serious enough about gauge conversion from Balaghat to Jabalpur, otherwise this project will be completed till now.
how can railway start such a big project without NOC of other govt department..? And how horrible is if one gove department not giving NOC to another gove department...?
Really bad....such a useful conversion for the country got neglected. This is how IR works when its expansion to their network. But here people cry for tax payers money....no one thinks about this dragging projects costing 2-3 times than estimated.
