If possible, should ER introduce a train between Kolkata and Purulia via DGR-ASN(275 kms) against the longer route via KGP(323 kms) to cut down travel time? This will additionally directly connect disconnected Durgapur, Bardhaman to Raghunathpur, Purulia region.

ASN, DGR too lacks connectivity with North Bengal. An overnight if introduced will be hit for these three.

Dedicated connection will be great as maximum NB bound trains from ASN and DGR come from faraway distances and are already packed...As a result the reservation quota also doesn't provide much seats to those two stations...
