Yes. Did see this news in February when the minister was in Bengaluru for an event. News Article link mentioned below. It was mentioned that it will be soon introduced on Bengaluru-Mangaluru, Mangaluru-Chennai and Mangaluru-Hyderabad. He also mentions that automatic signalling will be installed. Not sure if they are aware of the route and whether it can happens soon !!!!

The 2 possible routes are via SBHR and via PGT....... Dont think it would be via SBHR as even normal trains are hardly introduced siting ghat constraints....the PGT route is saturated and even if introduced....it would adversely affect the timings of other trains due to OTs....it would happen in the near future but yea lets wait and see
