This train runs as 16787 from Tirunelveli to Katra 2 days a week, but it does not bear a return leg equivalent 16788, and instead has 2 different schedules depending on the linked train. Oddly, it is Navyug exp which covers lesser distance than Himsagar consumes a longer itinerary. SR must at least standardize the timings up to Salem/Erode whichever is the bifurcation point.

Navyug and Himsagar used to follow same time till erode..but they pushed Navyug to Andaman's slot once DDN/CDG-MDU became bi-weekly
