Yes......this train was intended to be clone of venad express...an extended version of the earlier proposed punalur ernakulam passenger
cutting it short till SCT due to RSA factors.....this train shouldnt better not go beyond SCT/TSI as it is mostly a day train for KL (clone of venad) so if anycase it gets extended to MDU/TEN/TN its actual purpose may get affected......should be much more faster if it is an ONT
ERS - SCT - ERS Fast Passenger should be run at almost the current palaruvi express timings and stoppages and should have rsa with sct - mdu/ten - sct passenger....if the puu - sct stretch is not required then it should be short terminated at puu and must be made to have rsa with puu - cape passenger...the new palaruvi express can have slightly different timings with a much more faster tt and less stoppages....thus even after down venad express at the evening there will be the fast passenger and palaruvi express.....return tt the sengottai fp express can trail the venad express and let the new palaruvi exp start from tn during the evenings to reach quilon at mignight after or before ms guv express and reach pgt early morning....
Thats ok.But still keeping it till SCT only rather than TSI will affect its patronage and popoularity.As KSRTC in TSI-QLN/ALLP as the Rulers in Inter state connectivity.
AS TSI is the Major contributing stn (Double in Revenue and daily passenger number than SCT)ppl prefer KSRTC then instead of coming to SCT get train.
