And in recent times, railways seem to be more and more inclined in leasing out land space in Chennai, Bangalore etc. to developers, so there's this question of vested interests pushing their agenda as well.
Ideally, BYPL terminal should be developed on the lines of YPR or should be built as a dedicated coaching depot with more pit lines while originating trains can be accommodated along the present network like Cantonment, Banaswadi, KR Puram, Yelhanka etc.
