See the sad state of affairs of not having enough trains within KA. My friends had to travel from Badami to Bengaluru. As GolGumbaz GS are always full, they caught SUR-UBL Pass at Badami at 10:00AM to UBL, & from UBL to SBC by UBL-SBC Pass at 17:30 and reached SBC at 5:15. They cannot afford bus fare, so they travelled only by GS in trains.
So they took whooping 19hrs using chains just to travel from Badami to SBC.
Hope IR runs few daily trains from SBC/YPR to BGM/MRJ, SUR/BJP, Bidar...

Nothing.. It's still on paper and in pink book. No any land works yet from Gadag jn or even from Yalvigi side.. I think it takes more time as still No LA happen for this new line.
May be IR thinks no need to run full fledged regular train from Bijapur to Bengaluru as no more passengers going to opt AC classes as all general class ppl travel and we don't get any income serving low category UR or sleeper passengers. IR has perception that such places like Bijapur Gulbarga Ballari dont have good high class pass to travel Bengaluru but only Hubli have and so run all trains from Hubli and Dharwad twin Cities.. This is fate of these cities. But thing is different these cities are not given chance to develop or any effort to get them develop also..
I am hoping this will happen in sooner time, What we need is a new train between Bidr-Ypr via Klbg on existing Basava timings, then this Basava can be diverted via Gdg-Bay, starting from Bjp/Sur. Hampi diversion was also good option, but it will better if we get Basava, kind of new train totally for this route.

Hampi exp diversion is not easily possible as it's PM at UBL so for which Golgumbaz Exp have RSA so it will make problems for both trains if hampi exp diverts.. Better if Bijapur having one single Pit line then Hampi can be easily extended to Bijapur with PM at BJP.. Basava is good to start from Bijapur only no need again extra Journey from SUR.. Bijapur to Mysuru is better one for Basava Exp..
