Why doesn't SER introduce some MEMU/EMU services between KGP and DGHA? There are very few trains in Tamluk-Digha section whereas the flow of tourist is very high.
1. Buses rule the roost, the bus-mafia have strong political connections.
2. Platform availability at both DGHA and especially KGP would be slightly difficult.
3. The Howrah factor is also there, even genuine train demands from KGP will likely be shot down in favour of more trains from HWH.

Close vicinity of bus stand sweetens the lucrative mindset of majority who further neglects the profit and comfort factor of timely trains.
If at all anyone wants to avail rail service, he/she has to forcefully take a local to PKU and tend to keep their frustrations under patience until EMU enters the side platform. Considering, tourists will have luggages to support their leisure visit this option is inadvisable.
Truly, Howrah factor grabs most attention ever to cater.
