THE TRAIN ON WRONG TRACKS...A branch line story
The incident is of 06.10.18
๐Ÿ”˜The panto of 1st Dn TAK-HWH EMU of day broke near SSP/SIU. As a result, Seoraphuli-Tarakeswar branch line traffic was completely paralysed. The affected EMU along with its Passengers was towed by an ALCo till Howrah & OHE vans arrived for repairing

reaching station found the 2nd train was looped and confused passengers wondering if it would depart. The empty rake of Yuva Express was standing on the mainline with ALCo on its way to coaching depot from parking station (Nalikul)
๐Ÿ”˜I went to the SM office (which i usually do first) , the MM & guard of the EMU were gossiping & having tea....SM was very busy and his only headache was to send the empty rake of Yuva Express to coaching depot as it would depart in evening after maintainance. I asked SM to issue a late slip which would compensate my attendance in college
๐Ÿ”˜Meanwhile i asked the flagman if any train would go as OHE was not repaired...and in this period the SM was wanting clearance from SHE to run the Empty rake of Yuva through Up Line instead of Dn Line....Soon SM received clearance.
๐Ÿ”˜The staff asked me to go towards Yuva Express. The SM was kind enough to announce in mike that the empty rake will depart soon & passengers are requested to board that train.
๐Ÿ”˜A few coaches were open to us & we boarded,the ALCo started chugging & we crossed over from Dn Mainline to Up Mainline...we were on opposite tracks...the LP couldn't observe any signal & any speed caution as everything was on his opposite side...he kept the train Running non-stop till Seoraphuli maintaining 60kmph constant ignoring all the TSRs & PSRs...people gazing in wonder "the train on wrong tracks"
