It is because Railway board has extended the rationalisation policy till 2020.
I agree. But this train has had enough from SR. It has been degraded to a very great extent. This is a totally different case when compared to other trains/zones.
Absolutely agree with you. Sharing an article which I remember seeing at least 5-6 years ago when it was mentioned that once upon a time it was called Pride of the Southern Railway & was the fastest train. According to retired loco pilot P.R. Kasilingam, the train was known for always being punctual. He said that people would set their watches by the timings of the Brindavan Express.

The problem is with SR. They want DD to sustain. As you pointed out, bus lobby is also a very important factor in degradation.
