Some steps to provide North Bengal proper connection with South Bengal

1. Kolkata Alipur Duar exp via Katwa - A new train for Doors ahould be provided for the people of Mal bazar, Hasimara, Dalgoan, Kalchink, etc. Currently only Kanchan Kanya exp runs in that section and experiences heavy patronage throuhout the year and is hard to get a seat in that train. This will also connect Bandel-Jangipur portion with North Bengal.

2. Asansol Jalpaiguri train - A triweekly train should be given for the people of Durgapur, Asansol, Raniganj, Pandabeshwar, Dubrajpur and Siuri. It has been demanded from last 7-8 years but still no decision has been taken yet.

3. Paharia exp via Bankura - The frequency of Paharia exp should be increased and it should run via Adra, Bankura, Kharagpur for once in a week and via present route once in a week and Gnwl should be provided for these stations in down direction

4. Kolkata Radhikapur superfast Intercity - A intercity via Bwn is in demand for a long time for connecting Raiganj, Kaliyanganj with Rampurhat, Bolpur, Kolkata and Barddhaman

7. Increase in coach of 12363/64 Intercity - Ideally the CC of 12363/64 Kolkata Haldibari Intercity should be - 10 2S, 2 CC, 6 Gen and 2Slr. This train always runs full and the rake can be easily increased after renovation of Haldibari is completed

8. Increase in Coach of Uttar Banga and Kanchan Kanya exp - Both KK and UB jave already ran with 19 coaches so it's not a problem to increase their coach. KK should be augmented with a 1st ac coach and UB should be augemented with a 3ac coach and a sleeper coach

9. Teesta Torsa slip to Bamanhat - The slip portion of Teesta Torsa that goes to NOQ should be cancelled between NCB and NOQ and should be extended to Bamanhat, thus Dinhata and Bamanhat getting connected to Kolkata

10 Increase in coach of Tebhaga exp - According to rush experienced by Tebhaga exp the ideal CC of Tebhaga should be - 5 2S, 1 CC, 1 3ac, 8 Gen and 2 SLR
